I highly suggest that if you are considering purchasing a vehicle through Chrysler you read this first.

Welcome

I have made this page so you can see other peoples experiences before you make the huge decision of where to purchase a new vehicle. I could not find an online resource which was related to this and believe we all should have access to such important information. If one dealership will be unprofessional, the chances are pretty good that a different affiliated dealership will do the same. It is a matter of quality control and keeping tabs on customer service. If response is good I have plans to turn this into an automotive dealership review page.

The dealership we went to:

1: Sold us a used vehicle which was highly unsafe and should have never passed their "inspection".

2: Sold us a 2yr platinum warranty which was void since it had been purchased by a dealership and now will not pay to fix our vehicle. It has been almost 6 months and we still have not seen the warranty we paid for!

3:Checked our brakes upon request and said they were fine. When I took it to a good mechanic we discovered we were only using our front brakes.

4: The general manager hung up on me when I was trying to adrress these issues, while I was being being polite!!

5: Failed to detect a serious problem with the piston rods. One week later we went on holidays and got stranded. We had to pay for the tow truck, hotels, food, and transportation home.

6: Had to replace the tires which were sold to us on the vehicle because they were too big. They told us they would give us tires of equal value and we were clear we did not want stock tires because our previous tires were very expensive and brand new. They assured us they would not be stock. When I took the tires to a tire dealership they told me they were stock and worth approximately $50 each. That is a difference of $1000. I contacted the head manager with my concerns and he said it was a done deal.

7:After repeated attempts to rectify the situation through the head office I was finally informed that there was nothing that they could do since the dealership is privately owned and operated.

8: The vehicle which is in question was purchased in the middle of summer. I quickly discovered it had a winter thermostat in it. This obviously caused severe over heating problems.

9:After I had had the brakes checked by a great mechanic and discovered these problems, I took it back and demanded they be fixed. They told me that the rear rotar was seized and it would cost $250. I then took it back to the other mechanic who again verified it was not. They must not have even checked. It turned out that all that needed to be done was a slight adjustment which is worth around $50.

While we were on a camping trip this past summer. (In the middle of nowhere) A couple came walking into camp with a story I could not believe. They had blown three stock Dodge tires at once on the gravel road! They had just purchased a new Dodge Ram worth $50,000. They were stranded so we loaned them our truck to go 400kms to buy new tires. The tire dealership told him his stock tires were about $50 each and not even steel belted, this was his problem. Now what kind of company sells a $50,000 truck with $200 tires on it. Especially on a heavy duty truck?

I have spoken to a lawyer in regards to our brakes and he informed me that no legal action could be taken unless someone was maimed or killed. Is that what it will take for these people to smarten up? Pretty scary!

If you or a loved one has had any problems with this or any other automotive dealership please e-mail me your name and a description of the incident/s. Please also include the name of the dealership. note: by e-mailing me u will be giving me permission to post your message. Thank you. contact at [email protected]

Most of the above issues will soon be addressed in court and I will keep you updated.
